Sunday 27th saw 36 entries from Grosvenor Rowing Club Chester compete at the Chester Long Distance Sculls.
This annual event is raced over 5km on the River Dee.
In the morning division, senior squad athletes Leanne Ratcliffe, Lucy Tilston, Lucy Iball and Ellen Mitchell were the fastest crew in their IM2 4X category and were also fastest female boat of the day. Completing the course in 19 minutes 18.4 seconds.
Another excellent result was posted by novice sculler Gareth Syphas. Gareth easily won his category, and was faster than all but 2 of the other single scullers at the event.
George Moir won Masters D Novice while representing the senior squad.
In the afternoon division, the results kept coming. With wins in single sculls for Ellen Mitchell WIM3 & Lucy Tilston WJ17.
Winners in both the Junior and Masters squads topped of a successful day for the club.
