It is with a heavy hearts that we share the sad news of the passing of David Lush, a beloved member of Grosvenor Rowing Club, who left us over the weekend.

David's legacy with the club is deep and enduring. He served as club secretary for many years, and his dedication and love for rowing was unaparalleled. In recognition of his contributions, David was honoured as a trustee upon his retirement and proudly had a boat named in his honour.

David's passion for rowing was something he passed on to his sons, Jeremy, Pete and Bill. Jeremy and Pete who both rowed with the club as juniors and are now part of the masters squad - a beautiful tribute to David's lifelong love of the sport and his cherished place within the rowing community.

We will all miss David's warmth, friendship, and dedication.

Our thoughts are with his family and all who know him. His memory will live on, not just in the boat that bears his name, but in the hearts of everyone at Grosvenor Rowing Club.
