The Grosvenor Masters Squad attended the premier Masters regatta at Henley on 9 and 10 July.
It was a great event with GRC crews involved in close races, unfortunately this year, not able to bring the medals home.
The E 8+ lost by a canvas while the E4+ lost to the current British Masters champions by 1/2 length.
The surprise result was a win by the E2x against Tideway Scullers, again the current British Champions, by canvas. The double went on to reach the final where they lost in another very close race of 1/2 length, to an established crew from Norwich.
Also competing in a sculling event, Henry Blackshaw raced in E1x, losing in his first time down the iconic course.
Award for bravery goes to the D2- of Nige and JL, who lost but managed to steer a good course between the booms!
