Lucy Iball (left) and Maddie Archer (right) from Grosvenor Rowing Club’s High Performance Women’s squad attended the British Rowing Senior Championships in Nottingham on the 21st October and emerged victorious as Senior Champions in the Openweight double scull event, bringing home the coveted club shield for the first time in over a decade.
Following on from their success at The British Rowing Championships. Maddie Archer and Lucy Iball attended the first 2018 British Rowing GB trials held in Boston.
Maddie was amongst the top 10 openweight women on the rowing machines and came in 14th out of 35 on the water. Lucy also placed comfortably within the top 10 lightweight women at the event. Both women are looking forward to the next round of assessments, which will see them test their metal against the top rowers of Great Britain.
